We are delighted to welcome Gemma and her beautiful range of baby gifts for Mummy and baby!

Their giftboxes contain items that they make such as crocheted bonnets, mummy & me headbands, bibs and other crocheted and handmade items! Also included in the box is a mug and a candle for the new Mum. Soon, they will be adding new items to the range such as notepads, journals and baby milestone cards!

Box o’ Sox

Meet Marion of Box o’ Sox at the Fair!

Box o’ Sox is an independent company selling, quite simply, socks – mostly for men.

With the exception of bamboo, all their socks are made in England by a family owned company that has been around since the late 19th century. Judging by the length of time they have been established, they must be doing something right!

Parkgate Pottery

Parkgate Pottery is nestled within the beautiful Surrey Hills. With a life-long passion for the arts and a degree in Fine Art, ceramic artist Andrea McIver works mostly in stoneware making wheel thrown pottery, highlighting the true meaning of artisanal, creating pieces which are not only beautiful but functional too. If you have ever fancied throwing a pot on the wheel you can come and enjoy a pottery class, just head to the classes page for more information.

Tiffany Budd Art

Meet local artist Tiffany Budd who specialises in acrylic painting, coloured pencil and pastel drawing. She has developed a style named ‘Fractured’ inspired by the Cubists, Vortists and Futurism. It is semi abstract and focuses on perspective, movement and light, and has now begun painting Rainbow Animals which are selling fast! Colour is of integral importance in her work.

Dorking Brewery

Our very local Brewery … based in our village of Capel. Dorking Brewery has a vision to be the best brewery in Surrey.

Their brewers make over 20,000 pints per week of exciting, modern style beers but keep to traditional brewing methods along the way, inspired by the best ingredients, flavours and techniques from all over the world.

They are now a carbon negative brewery, further helping the environment we live in. See them at the Fair and try their beers!

Silent Pool Gin

Come and meet Silent Pool Distillers at our Fair. Based in Albury, near Dorking.

Silent Pool Intricately realised gin – Luxury English gin handcrafted in the Surrey Hills with 24 botanicals.

Also, they now produce ‘Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin’. It is the first permanent addition to the Silent Pool Gin family. Beautifully aromatic with a unique taste.

Silent Pool will be serving mulled Gin at the Fair … a wonderful winter warmer to try!

Charlie Cha Tea

Meet Nigel with his range of teas with a ‘cheeky twist’ including a seasonal brew! Nigel lived in Capel for many years and continues to coach cricket at Capel Cricket Club as well as run his tea business and successful photography company.

Only the finest tea is used and from a whole host of growers in India, China, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Japan & Kenya to name just a few. Charlie Cha select specific varieties of tea and blend these together with a number of natural ingredients to produce their own original blends.

Their teas are all sourced through the Ethical Tea Partnership, who ensure a totally transparent perspective on where the tea is grown and manufactured.

Surrey Hills cafe

Meet Nicki and her team from Surrey Hills cafe. The cafe is based in our next door village Beare Green.

The cafe will be serving hot snacks such as pastries, together with cakes, slices and scones in the Parish Hall throughout the Fair. Do go and get something delicous to eat with your free hot drink that you get with your entry programme!

Hill House Farm

Hill House Farm is based in Capel. They will be serving their delicious hot dogs and burgers throughout the Fair.

Hill House Farm specialises in providing a wide range of sustainable and locally sourced ‘farm to fork’ food and drink, including native, grass-fed meat.

MNDA Local branch

Meet Simon, Kerena and other members of the East Surrey branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). They will be selling packs of christmas cards in aid of the charity.

The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This charity is dear to Suzanne Cole, one of the organisers of the Capel Christmas Fair as her Dad died of MND in 2015.
